SeddülbahirThese are two vessels used during the landings at Gallipoli to transport soldiers, provisions, materials for constructing piers, and animals such as horses and mules to be used in the landing zone. Named "barges," these vessels feature a flat bottom, shallow draft, wide hull, and were either motorized or non-motorized. It is believed that the barges sank during the landings carried out at Seddülbahir on the morning of April 25, 1915. Located off Tekke Bay at depths of 24 and 25 meters, the smaller of the barges is 18.2 meters long, with its anchor and chain clearly visible at the bow. The steam boiler of the other barge, which is 23.5 meters long, can be seen on the sand right next to it.
The equipment used for diving includes basic scuba gear. A 3-5mm wet neoprene wetsuit can be worn from April to October, while a 7mm wet neoprene, semi-dry, or drysuit is suitable from November to March.
